of Animals Through Education, Research, and Outreach"



Our Workshop Topics include:

  • Techniques to minimize stress and mortality with handling and capture

  • Training and Conditioning:  Techniques to Handle and Manipulate animals without the use of drugs

  • Remote Delivery Equipment and Technology

  • Injectable and Inhalant (Gas) Techniques

  • Immobilization Pharmacology, Drug and Dosage Recommendations, Drug Dosage Calculation, Super concentrated Drugs: Learn the safest, most current Drug and Dosage Recommendations for the species you work with, the scenarios you encounter, and the procedures you need to perform.

  • Anesthetic Monitoring:  Techniques to ensure the animal stays physiologically stable under anesthesia

  • How to recognize prevent and treat immobilization related Medical Emergencies

  • Accidental Human Exposure to Immobilizing Drugs: What can you expect?  How to be prepared.

  • Record Keeping and Legal Considerations: DEA, AMDUCA, IACUC

  • Personnel and Public Safety Considerations

Participants receive a Detailed MANUAL covering all lecture material.

CERTIFICATES ARE AWARDED upon satisfactory completion of the program.

Our program has been approved for Veterinary Continuing Education Credit.
